Fiorentina have named Daniele Prade as new sports director.

Pradè has pledged to "bring back enthusiasm" to Fiorentina, but there are reports Claudio Ranieri is backing off as Coach.

"I thank the Della Valle brothers," said ex-Roma director Pradè when presented to the media.

"My objective is to bring back enthusiasm, as I have real hunger and I think we can do great things together. It is an amazing opportunity for me and it should be seen as such by all the players too.

"Stevan Jovetic is an amazing player and will be our starting point, as he is at the centre of the project. Of course we'll talk it over with him and see what he thinks, but he is the first building block of the squad."
