Fiorentina sports chief Pantaleo Corvino has confirmed they hope to sign Real Madrid fullback Royston Drenthe next week.

"Drenthe is our idea. We have spoken with Real Madrid and we are agreed. They accepted our proposal of a loan," Corvino told Sky Italia.

"The player is aware of it and he has not said no. We are looking to reduce the asking price. Hopefully we'll conclude the deal next week."
