FFA turns to Team Epic agency for home based advertising

Football Federation Australia (FFA) has enlisted the Dentsu Aegis-owned Team Epic agency to sell in-venue advertising for upcoming soccer matches played on Australian soil. According to reports in the Australian press, the agency will sell advertising at the A-League finals series, Socceroos Internationals, and the annual A-League All-Stars match for an unspecified period of time.

It is thought the advertising will primarily target the Asian market, with Team Epic's extensive client base in the region said to have swayed the FFA into awarding the agency the contract.

"Dentsu Sports Asia work in partnership with Fifa and the Asian Football Confederation, delivering commercial returns through both sponsorships and media broadcast negotiations," Team Epic's managing director Richard Coyne was quoted as saying.

"They have a deep knowledge of the Asian football market and will act as an important part of our relationship with FFA as it grows its presence in international markets."
