Feyenoord winger Steven Berghuis is prepared to return to parent club Watford this summer.

Sources close to the player have revealed his first preference is to return to Watford and remain at Vicarage Road next season, reports the Watford Observer.

But if it looks likely he will play a bit-part role similar to the one he was restricted to during his first campaign with the Hornets last year, he will look to leave Hertfordshire permanently in search of first-team football.
