Former Chelsea and Barcelona fullback Albert Ferrer is backing Deco for success at Stamford Bridge.

"For sure he's going to succeed for his warrior and non-conformist style that totally corresponds to English football," Ferrer told El Mundo. "Besides, Deco's technical quality is better than the Premier League's average.

"To me, the reason why Barcelona and Deco parted ways is not a football one.

"As a footballer, he would find a place at whatever club."
