Fernando Torres has undergone his first training session with Atletico Madrid since his return.

Torres passed his medical yesterday ahead of joining the squad.

As soon as he came out onto the pitch he was enveloped in a bear hug from his former teammate and now his coach, Diego Simeone. All the Atleti players greeted him too before the training session started, and he was given the standard guard of honour that new players are met with - Torres had to run between his new teammates receiving various slaps and friendly punches.

Over 300 fans were in attendance to see El Niño return home. The player will be presented on 4 January at 1pm in the Calderón.
