Everton are wrapping up the signing of Benfica midfielder Manuel Fernandes.

Benfica have left Fernandes out of their squad for tomorrow's Champions League qualifier against FC Copenhagen.

That will leave Fernandes clear to feature for Everton in their UEFA Cup campaign. The Portugal U21 international is currently on Merseyside for talks.

O Jogo says Fernandes will sign a five-year contract with Everton worth £700,000-a-season.
