Sir Alex Ferguson was in touch with David Moyes ahead of Manchester United's victory at Swansea City yesterday.
Moyes confirmed former United boss Ferguson had been in touch prior to kick-off.
"He texted me before the game to wish me good luck," said Moyes. "He was complaining about a tip he got for a horse."
But the ex-Everton man admitted: "I didn't feel any different.
"I came to do a job I have been doing for a long time.
"The colours of the team were different but I was doing what I have been doing for a lot of years now."
