Fergie headed off into retirement without giving any interviews — but not before sharing a last glass of red with rival boss Steve Clarke.

Instead, the 71-year-old Manchester United boss uttered just three words to a TV crew as he walked to the team coach.

Asked how he felt, Fergie replied: “Emotional, very emotional.”

Then he was off.
