Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson says they're taking the Carling Cup seriously.

The United boss revealed the Carling Cup is back on his list of priorities.

He reckons the Cup has again become an important piece of silverware for the top clubs to chase.

"The big clubs have to win a trophy," he said.

"Look at Arsenal - two or three years ago they weren't interested. But last season they tried to win it.

"It is a chance to introduce young players."
