Bologna midfielder Lewis Ferguson is delighted with his progress this season.

And the Scot says he's happy with his multiple midfield roles.

He told Corriere di Bologna: "I think it suits me perfectly. I like attacking, scoring, but also defending and helping the team. Follow different paths. My favourite position is midfielder, the number 8 is capable of box to box.

"From Serie A, Inter, Juventus and Milan impressed me. But we can beat them.

"We are continuing to play well even if the results come. The one against Udinese was the only match we deserved to lose. In the Italian Cup we didn't deserve to go out. Against Cagliari we were in control. But when you can't win you don't have to lose: it's the shot we have to make."

On the possibility of reaching Europe, he added: "Yes, it is possible. We have quality and good mentality. We have to do better in the next games. With Bologna I want Europe: we can play against anyone. It would be wonderful to make the Champions League with Bologna. I don't think too far ahead, I enjoy the moment, even if I would like to play in the Premier League one day."
