Ferguson convinced O'Neill, Moyes capable of doing Man Utd job

Manchester United are expected to stay British if they're forced into finding a successor for manager Sir Alex Ferguson.

The Sun says Ferguson will retire if he wins a third Champions League this season and the United board are aware they will have to act swiftly should the team claim victory in Rome on May 27.

Aston Villa boss Martin O'Neill is the primary candidate to succeed Ferguson, though Everton's David Moyes is also considered highly.

It is both Fergie and United's belief that either is capable of taking on the job, while the man giving up the hot- seat will join the board.
