Ferencváros coach Cherchesov: Zakharyan can be proud of Chelsea interest; he now should be inspired

Ferencváros coach Stanislav Cherchesov was happy hearing Chelsea were interested in Dynamo Moscow winger Arsen Zakharyan.

After weeks of talks, it was agreed to 'park' the deal on Wednesday with the view to resuming negotiations ahead of the January market.

Cherchesov told Sport-Express: "I had a chance to work with Arsen for a very short time. He made the most pleasant impression on me - both as a football player and as a person.

"Zakharyan is only 19 years old, his whole career is still ahead of him. Why should he be upset now? Moreover, there is no personal fault of Arsen in this. And in general, there is no one's fault, such force majeure circumstances just happened.

"The very fact that Chelsea seriously claims Zakharyan speaks in favor of Arsen and should only make him progress and work even harder. You can't stop in any case, otherwise big chances run the risk of remaining chances."
