Fenerbahce president Koc: We wanted Osayi-Samuel immediately, but QPR...

Fenerbahce president Ali Koc admits they would've liked to have signed QPR winger Bright Osayi-Samuel this month.

The youngster is off contract in June and has committed to pre-contract terms with Fener ahead of moving to Turkey on a Bosman transfer at the end of the season.

Koc explained, "Samuel is an important player, a player that we have followed for a long time.

"We agreed for the summer, we wanted him to come a little early, but the conditions presented to us are not the conditions we can accept.

"Therefore, we need that kind of wing player (now).

"It looks like it will not be Samuel, we have to look for someone else instead. What kind of a move we make depends on the request of our coach. The whole aim is not to have busy transfer activity in the summer."
