Fenerbahce and Galatasaray chasing Man Utd Bosman Mata

Turkish rivals Fenerbahce and Galatasaray look set to do battle over the summer for Manchester United veteran Juan Mata.

The midfielder has recently been offered a new deal to keep him at Old Trafford, but reports linking him with a move away have persisted.

Barcelona are also at the table - and the chance to move back to Spain would appeal to the former Valencia man.

But now the two Turkish clubs have also approached Mata's camp about the possibility of signing him on a free transfer, says The Sun.

Mata was one of just a couple of signings made by ex-boss David Moyes and has been with the club for five-and-a-half years.

Last season he started 21 matches in all competitions, and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer believes he can still do a job for him.

The Norwegian gaffer decided to release 15 players after their deals expired, including Ander Herrera and Antonio Valencia.
