Everton are set to reward Belgian midfielder Marouane Fellaini with a long-term contract.

The 23-year old midfielder cost the Toffees £15million – a club record – when he signed from Standard Liege in 2008 and the Merseyside club are keen to stitch him up to a new deal.

Although Fellaini’s current deal doesn’t end until 2013, Everton management want to protect their rising star who has already notched up over 60 Premier League appearances.
