Felipe Melo has denied quotes attributed to him about quitting Fiorentina for a bigger club.

"In reading what was reported after the Brazil game, I am very upset that they twisted my words," he insisted.

"What I really said was that I was happy to have reached the Selecao thanks to Fiorentina. I feel satisfied and happy here.

"Wearing the Brazil shirt and that of Fiorentina means I already represent two great sides."
