Fed-up Carrick resigned to leaving Man Utd

Michael Carrick is resigned to leaving Manchester United this summer.

The Mirror says Carrick, 34, again tried to get some answers from the United hierarchy about their plans on the eve of the FA Cup final but failed to get any assurances.

Executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward wanted to resolve United's managerial situation before making a decision on Carrick's future.

And barring a late intervention from Jose Mourinho, which would be a surprise given he has been Old Trafford-bound and able to plan for next season for some time, Carrick is preparing to move on.

Orlando City and Sporting Kansas City have now entered the race for Carrick and ready to try and tempt him to the MLS.

Stoke and Bournemouth have also registered their interest, along with Arsenal and Everton.
