FC Dallas delighted after LA Galaxy victory

2010 MLS runners-up FC Dallas got the job done against Western Conference league leaders LA Galaxy on Sunday and they were absolutely thrilled with the result.

Last weekend, the Texan club lost their best player, last season's MVP David Ferreira, for basically the whole season to a broken leg but were able to bounce back with a stirring 2-1 win at home thanks to Brek Shea's late winner.

Dallas coach Schellas Hyndman was proud of the way his side went about their business to walk away with a confidence-boosting three points.

"I think we dealt with a few adversities today," Hyndman said.

"The first one, obviously, is playing without David Ferreira.

The second one was dealing with the weather conditions. The third was the delay of the game. Our players responded quite well to all of those.

"It's huge," Hyndman said of the win. "We're playing a very good team.

"They're leading the league, they're a well coached team and a very talented group of players. For us to go in with the adversities that I mentioned earlier and come away with three points, I think it's huge. It will continue to build the confidence of our players. It feels really good."
