Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata is in Bosman talks with Barcelona.

Off contract in June, Mata and United are at odds over new terms, with management refusing to offer longer than a 12 month deal to the 31 year-old.

In the meantime, Mundo Deportivo says Mata's father and agent was spotted at Barcelona's club offices this week.

Barca are keen on the veteran, who is viewed as ideal cover for their first-choice midfield options.

Mata is a former Real Madrid player.
