The father of David Ospina is happy to hear Napoli intend to buy him outright.

The Colombia goalkeeper is on-loan at Napoli this season from Arsenal.

Hernan Ospina stated: "David signed by Napoli regardless of the 25 appearances? I was not aware of (coach Carlo) Ancelotti's words, I'm honest: I did not know anything about it. It is however wonderful news, I hope it becomes reality.

"It's nice for a father to know something like that because the boy is very happy in Naples and wants to stay. David is focused, working with dedication and waiting for the opportunities the coach offers him. Ospina has had space at Napoli, has been well received by the fans and is peaceful.

"Napoli then is an important opportunity for my son who in Azzurri has the chance to show his qualities also on the international field, we are happy."
