The father of Leon Bailey has moved to cool claims he's planning to leave Aston Villa.

The winger talked up a "top six" move in midweek.

But father and agent Craig Butler posted to social media: "Let's be clear (Leon Bailey) was asked whether he would move to Chelsea as his countrymen Raheem Sterling and Dujuan Richards were there.

“He stated he doesn't know how to answer this question and that there are the big six teams who are huge in the UK but he is happy where he is but would have to think about such an opportunity in the moment it would arise.

“A very logical, level headed answer. He is very happy where he is and he is having the season of his life with great fans and support and looks forward to helping the team achieve as good a season as possible.

“If Leon my client had immediate intentions of leaving he would not sign a contract committing him to the club for three more years."
