Former Aston Villa and Wimbledon striker John Fashanu says Tottenham star Dele Alli can be a Nigerian king!

Alli is part of the Yoruba tribe who make up just over 20 per cent of Nigeria's total population.

Also a member of the same tribe is ex-Wimbledon star Fashanu — and he wants Dele to return one day and become king.

He said: “Dele being a prince in Nigeria is absolutely massive.

“It would give him a lot of respect if he returned to live here and maybe one day he could be king of the Yoruba tribe.

“It means a lot of houses, cars and enormous wealth."
