Atletico Madrid striker Radamel Falcao isn't ready to leave in January.

The Colombia hitman is a long-standing target for Chelsea and came within a whisker of joining the Blues in the last days of the winter transfer window.

Crucially though the Colombian superstar left the door ajar for a summer switch.

Falcao, 26, said: "I'm proud that so many great clubs have manifested their interest but they will have to wait till the end of this season. Then we will see what could happen.

"Leaving Atletico in the winter transfer window is absolutely not on. I want to help achieve the objectives we have with my current club."
