Fabregas told Arsenal boss on the phone that he wanted Barcelona move

Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas reportedly told manager Arsene Wenger in a phone conversation that he wanted to join Barcelona. Sport.es suggests that the Spanish midfielder notified Wenger of his decision via telephone and is unhappy that the Frenchman has not yet let him leave.

Fabregas returned to Gunners training at Colney today after spending time in Ibiza. He was part of a team presentation regarding tactics and goals for the upcoming season but would then be dissociated from the team as negotiations about his transfer to Barca continue.

He reportedly does not want to be involved in any friendly matches, including the trip to Malaysia and China.

Fabregas is still hoping that Wenger keeps his promise of letting him depart North London for Catalonia so he can start working under Pep Guardiola at the Nou Camp this summer.
