FA Cup semi-final exciting but time to focus on Premier League - Aston Villa's Cleverley

Aston Villa's Tom Cleverley admits it is a great thrill to have qualified for the FA Cup semi-finals.

Tim Sherwood's side defeated derby rivals West Bromwich Albion 2-0 in the quarter-final at Villa Park on Saturday to book a date at Wembley where they will meet either Liverpool or Blackburn Rovers.

Manchester United loanee Cleverley suggests it is the furthest he has been in the famous cup competition but believes it is far more important to focus on upcoming Premier League fixtures as 17th-placed Villa look to kick clear of the bottom three.

"It's fantastic to be in the semi-finals of the FA Cup at Wembley. I am absolutely delighted," he told the club's official website.

"It's by far the furthest I have been in the FA Cup. It will be a really good day for everyone connected with the club.

"It's something we have to put to the back of our minds now though.

"We're obviously excited - that goes without saying - but now it's time to focus on the task in hand and that's winning games in the Barclays Premier League."
