Former Tottenham and Aston Villa boss Tim Sherwood is being backed to return to management this season.
Ex-Australia international Hayden Foxe, who played with Sherwood at Portsmouth, says he has too much to offer not to be involved in the English game.
Foxe, now assistant coach with Western Sydney Wanderers, told Tribalfootball.com: "Yes, you could see Tim had the potential to be a good manager (at Pompey).
"There was no grey area with Tim, you knew where you stood on and off the pitch. He came to Pompey at the end of his career with a load of knowledge and experience which the players could learn from.
"He could see the game very well and it didn't surprise me to see him become a Premier League manager."
Foxe says Sherwood could've been successful at Spurs if given longer.
"He had a great record at Spurs when you look at his results and budget he was given to manage the club," added the former West Ham defender.
