Ex-Zagreb, St Johnstone midfielder Dasovic appointed by San Jose Earthquakes

San Jose Earthquakes have appointed former Canada international Nick Dasovic as their new assistant coach.

The 44-year old Vancouver-born Dasovic has joined former teammate Mark Watson who was recently installed as the clubs interim head coach following the departure of Frank Yallop.

"I've known Nick for a long time," said Watson. "He has a wealth of experience in the game both as a player and a coach. I'm excited to have him join the club as an assistant on our staff."

Former Dinamo Zagreb, Croatia Zagreb, Montreal Impact, Stade Briochin, Trelleborgs, St Johnstone and Vancouver Whitecaps midfielder Dasovic has previous coaching experience as Whitecaps assistant, Canada's number two, Canada's U23s, Toronto FC's interim boss and most recently as head coach of the Canada U20 side.
