Former Wigan Athletic boss Paul Jewell is favourite for the assistant manager's job at Stoke City.
The Sentinel says Jewell is a leading candidate to replace Dave Kemp as Stoke City's assistant manager.
Jewell would provide the Premier League experience manager Tony Pulis is now seeking ahead of Stoke's second season in the top flight.
Pulis and Jewell enjoy an evident rapport after striking up regular contact with one another over the last 12 months.
