New ChampionshipReading boss Jaap Stam is set to make a cheeky move for one of his countryman in former Tottenham and Real Madrid man Rafael van der Vaart, according to Get Reading.
The 33-year-old, who left White Hart Lane in 2012, has been told he has no future at current club Real Betis despite having a year left on his contract.
Van der Vaart has been keeping himself fit with the help of a personal trainer in the Netherlands throughout the summer.
