Former Tottenham assistant manager Joe Jordan believes it is important that the Scottish Football Association retain Craig Levein in the managerial role. The SFA are to meet with Levein in order to sort out his future, or lack thereof, in the Scotland post and Jordan is one of many people to publically back the current boss despite a poor start to 2014 World Cup qualifying.
"We're not at the beginning or the end of a campaign - we're more or less right in the middle of it," said Jordan.
"It's a delicate time. That's something they have to think through because you're in the middle of a campaign.
"I think he wants to prove he can succeed. I think it's going to be a difficult one.
"Looking at the league position you are looking for other countries to slip up before Scotland can progress and hopefully qualify."
The Scots currently sit at the bottom of the Group A table with just two draws and two defeats from four outings.
