Stoke City look set to beat Leeds United to the signing of Jonathan Woodgate.
Potters boss Tony Pulis has reportedly offered the injury-prone centre-half a pay-as-a-you-play deal to come to the Britannia Stadium.
Woodgate, who was released by Tottenham at the end of last season, looked set for a return to Leeds but it seems as though the lure of the Premier League and better personal terms have given Stoke the nod.
