Former Burnley and Southampton winger Nathan Tella struck twice for Bayer Leverkusen in victory over Darmstadt.

The summer arrival shone in the win that consolidated Bayer at the top of the Bundesliga table.

It marked Tella's first Bundesliga start of the season on his 11th appearance. The 24-year-old scored his third and fourth goals of the campaign.

The winger joined Bayer for a fee of €30m.

Tella has also started all of Leverkusen's six Europa League games.
