Ex-Sheffield Utd manager Wilder on West Brom shortlist

Former Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder is interesting relegated West Brom.

Sky Sports says Wilder is on a shortlist of managers to take over at West Brom if Sam Allardyce leaves The Hawthorns this summer.

Wilder has been linked with a number of jobs since leaving Bramall Lane in March after five years in charge, taking the Blades from League One to ninth place in the Premier League last term.

However a miserable run of results and disagreements with the club's board led to his departure by mutual consent in March.

To date, no talks have taken place with Wilder but that is expected to change if Allardyce's five-month tenure comes to an end when he meets with the Albion board on Wednesday to discuss his future.

Allardyce's 18-month contract includes a break clause that the manager or club can activate at the end of the season.
