Ex-Rosenborg midfielder Diskerud cools Club Tijuana talk

Midfielder Mix Diskerud has denied claims that he has signed for Liga MX side Club Tijuana.

The 24-year old USA international has been heavily linked with a move to Los Xolos as his contract with Norwegian club Rosenborg gets set to expire at the end of December.

Former Stabaek star Diskerud tried to clear up the rumours by sending an email to ESPN FC stating that his future has not yet been sorted which suggests his move to Tijuana may not be on after all.

"A Club somewhere in Estados Unidos - if - in the Americas," Diskerud wrote.

"If I do sign with a new club - it will either be my new or old Club that gets to inform you of it.

"I have had fantastic people, with so much passion for their clubs and our sport approach me lately. I do not want to disappoint anyone. Not now. Not after the season is over either.

"So things are - pretty much the same."

Dsikerud, who has represented the US on 25 occasions, joined Tippeligaen side Rosenborg in August 2012 and went onto make 77 appearances for the club.
