Ex-ref Poll: Aguero ASSAULT on Chelsea defender Luiz worst I've seen

Former Premier League ref Graham Poll says Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero's "assault" on Chelsea defender David Luiz was as bad as he's seen.

Poll wrote for the Daily Mail: "Sergio Aguero's assault on David Luiz — it cannot be referred to as a tackle — was as bad a foul as I have seen. Bearing in mind the history between the two it could be seen as premeditated and should be dealt with as strongly as the FA can manage.

"What followed was unsavoury too, with Nathaniel Chalobah cautioned for shoving Aguero and Fernandinho dismissed after losing it with Cesc Fabregas — who should also have seen red for slapping the City man's face.

"While Anthony Taylor dealt with that incident impressively, the same cannot be said about the moment Luiz blocked Aguero in the first half. Taylor waved play on; the foul was obvious and deserved a card, probably red for denial of an obvious goalscoring opportunity."
