Former Real Madrid sports chief Pedja Mijatovic wants to see their veteran trio re-signed.

Luka Modric, Karim Benzema and Toni Kroos are all coming off contract at the end of the season.

Mijatovic said on Cadena SER: "The good news is that Kroos continues for another year.

"Benzema is done, and Modric too. I have the feeling that they are going to renew everyone. It wouldn't be bad to see them for another year, because the next very important decisions will be made.

"Continuity of (coach Carlo) Ancelotti depends on the Champions League, yes."

He added: "What we are experiencing with this generation of players is not going to be repeated. We have to enjoy it, because it is very big. There are 11 semifinals in 13 years, with five titles won. Something like this is not going to be repeated."
