Former Real Madrid GM Arrigo Sacchi says Mateo Kovacic has a battle to establish himself in Rafa Benitez's plans.

Kovacic joined Real last month from Inter Milan.

Sacchi told AS: "They're all the same. He's a very good player, just like Isco, James, Modrić... He's a good kid and I wish him the best.

"But Madrid have a lot of players who are very similar to each other."
