Former Real Madrid coach John Toshack feels Marcelo is being made a scapegoat.

The Welshman argues that the problems are bigger than just one player.

"Real Madrid need to change half of their squad, not just Marcelo," Toshack said to El Golazo de Gol.

He also had some advice for Gareth Bale, whom he coached during his time with the Welsh national team.

"Bale should have learnt Spanish out of respect for the people," he added.
