Ex-Rayo coach Jemez pulls apart Barcelona - and Coutinho

Former Rayo Vallecano coach Paco Jemez has pulled apart this season's Barcelona.

Rayo's victory over Barca last night saw coach Ronald Koeman sacked.

Speaking after the game, Jemez said: “This team is very predictable. The differences, before, were marked by the individual quality of the players.

“If you want to win games, you have to have ball speed. And Barça, especially in attack, do everything very slowly.

"This is a team without rhythm. It remains to win duels in the divided balls. All disputes are taken by the rival. The lines are too far apart, there is too much space between attackers and midfielders and it is very easy for Rayo."

Jemez added: "Coutinho plays football that is no longer in style, he gives many options to the opposition to take the ball from him."
