Former Rangers winger DaMarcus Beasley has signed with German Bundesliga club Hannover 96. The 28-year old USA international joined Hannover as a free agent after his last contract with Rangers expired at the end of last season.
Hannover sporting director Jorg Schmadtke said he was delighted to add a player of Beasley's quality to the squad.
"With DaMarcus, we have another good option in our squad," Schmadtke said on the team's official website. "This is important for a long league season that will bring many challenges."
Beasley will link up with national teammate Steve Cherundolo and said he was looking forward to his next challenge.
"I am familiar with '96 already, because two years ago, I played in a friendly in Hannover. It's great to play with Steven Cherundolo in a team. And the league for me is a special challenge," he said.
Hannover will be Beasley's sixth professional club after enjoying stints with LA Galaxy, Chicago Fire, PSV Eindhoven, Manchester City and Rangers.
