Ex-Newcastle pair Allardyce, Clark talk up Mourinho move

Former Roma manager Jose Mourinho could be in line for a return to England.

Mourinho, who managed Chelsea, Manchester United, and Tottenham, is tipped to replace Eddie Howe at Newcastle.

Howe is under huge pressure after his team's struggles so far this season.

Appearing on the No Tippy Tappy Football podcast, ex-Magpies boss Sam Allardyce stated: “Who knows with Jose, if he wants it and they want to give it to him, he'll be there next season."

Ex-Toon captain Lee Clark added: “He has a little special place for Newcastle, doesn't he, because of Sir Bobby Robson.

“He hasn't been that successful going to St James' Park with any of his teams.
