Former Newcastle United boss Graeme Souness feels Alan Pardew is under huge pressure.
Souness has told talkSPORT Joe Kinnear’s appointment as director of football at Newcastle is a ‘vote of no-confidence’ in Pardew.
“It puts Alan Pardew in a very difficult position. As a manager you don’t want to be reading or hearing that someone else is coming in to make all the big footballing decisions.
“As a manager you’re very well paid but your neck is always on the line. I wouldn’t accept someone else making all the big decisions for me and I don’t think Alan Pardew will, either. I think it will end up in tears for someone.”
