Ex-Mexico star Pardo hoping for another season with Chicago Fire

Pavel Pardo admits he is keen to spend at least a full season with MLS club Chicago Fire.

The 35-year old former Mexico international joined the Fire from Club America in July on a five-month contract but is looking to sign on for a further year.

"I'm trying to get the next year," said Pardo. "We're talking; my agent is talking with [club president Julian Posada].

"They want me back and of course I want to come back, too."

Fire head coach Frank Klopas said it would be great to have the ex-Atlas and Stuttgart midfielder back at Toyota Park in 2012.

"It's great that the guy wants to be here, it's fantastic," Klopas told MLSsoccer.com. "We want the guy here, and I'm sure it's going to get worked out."
