Ex-Man Utd star Ibrahimovic wants to remain in Europe - LA Galaxy president

LA Galaxy president Chris Klein has revealed that free-agent Zlatan Ibrahimovic intends to stay in Europe for now.

The 35-year-old, who is currently recovering from a serious cruciate injury, was let go by Man United this summer.

The Swede striker is not expected to return before the next year, but that hasn't stopped him from linking with hosts of clubs, including LA Galaxy.

"Galaxy's doors are always open," Klein said.

"We have an incredible relationship with Zlatan and his agent. He loves our club, and he loves L.A. We have an interest in him. I think, for now, he wants to stay in Europe.

"Our doors are open for a player like that. We have rights to him in our league. We'll see where that goes."
