Former Manchester United No2 Rene Meulensteen has hailed the form of Tottenham midfielder Christian Eriksen.

Discussing the prospect of Memphis Depay leaving PSV Eindhoven for United, Meulensteen says Eriksen should be used as an example.

The Dane left Ajax for Spurs and after a difficult first season, is now thriving.

"Now he is so good that the real top clubs in England has him in their sights," said Meulensteen to Voetbal International.
