Former Manchester United fullback Sadiq El Fitouri is in trouble at Chesterfield.
The defender has not spoken to the club since Wednesday – when he was given Thursday off for personal reasons – and was still on the missing list on Monday.
The Libya international has made two appearances since joining Chesterfield in February after United released him after 11 appearances for their under-23 side.
Chesterfield director Ashley Carson said: “The player will be fined in accordance with our code of conduct and we will be writing to him to confirm our position.
“We will then reserve our right to take further action if deemed appropriate."
The right-back has reportedly struggled with his general discipline and timekeeping since joining Chesterfield.
