Former Manchester United fullback Paul Parker says Nathaniel Clyne is the best England has.

Parker rates the Liverpool defender ahead of Tottenham's Kyle Walker.

Parker, speaking exclusively to 888Sport, said: “I'd go with Clyne because he is a defender first who thinks about attacking second.

"Walker is like Moreno in that he leaves his area too often and can't be trusted defensively. We saw that at the Euros. He can be incredible but too often falls asleep. Clyne is nowhere near as good on the ball as Walker but first and foremost he defends.

"That's what my strength was so that's what I look for in the full-back. If I went forward and a player was in my area and scored I knew Steve Bruce would dig me out."
