Ex-Man Utd, Everton striker Saha eager to give back with Axis Stars

Former Manchester United star Louis Saha is planning to give back to football by helping young players detect dodgy agents.

Following his retirement, Saha created Axis Stars which helps athletes manage their assets and the company already boasts a host of top clients on their portfolio including Didier Drogba, NBA player Boris Diaw, Olympic champion Mo Farah and tennis pro Gael Monfils.

Saha is not only targeting high profile clients though and has stated his desire to give back to football by handing out sound advice to young footballers through Axis Stars, in order to help them avoid being cheated by dishonest agents.

The Frenchman told the Liverpool Echo: "For the last 15 years I've been a football player and I learned so much I wanted to give back, both the good things and the bad things.

"So I built something that will really help the players. First it's going to help them communicate and work with companies, so it could be anything - agents, business opportunities or personal trainers.

"It's a good way when a young player - 18, 19, 20 - is looking for advice, especially if they emerge quickly, it was important when I was that age that I had good people around me but now it seems to be harder to find the right one because there's too many or too many people who talk sh*t."
