Paul Ince has offered to manage Wovles for the rest of the Premier League season.
The former Manchester United and Wolves midfielder has been heavily linked with the Molineux job for next season but he feels he can be of more assistance to the club now.
Terry Connor is struggling as caretaker manager after taking over from Mick McCarthy in February and Ince, who spent about four years with Wolves as a player, would love to take the job on for the final seven matches of the campaign.
"With all due respect to TC (Connor), I've got more managerial experience than him. I've saved teams from relegation, I've got teams promoted and I've managed in the Premier League.
"But the job at the moment is about motivating players and the fans and I feel I can do that. I feel I should be at the club now.
"If someone said: 'Take it for the last seven games' I'd do it, because it's Wolves and they're my club and they're only going one way at the moment." "When I spoke to (chairman) Jez (Moxey) about the situation, he said the job was about experience, but a day later they appointed Terry," the former Macclesfield Town, Blackburn Rovers, MK Dons and Notts Country boss told Express & Star.
